For the vast majority, an aptitude test or a career planning eCourse will provide you a level of comfort and clarity to comfortably choose that dream career.

ONE specific career quiz does not help ALL my clients.

This is why I created a 3 step tiered career planning system that works for the majority of people that are struggling to choose that well-paying career they will love.

My 3 step system has been used by high school students to mid 50’s career changers.

This is how I go about it.

It’s simple.

Second step does not provide you clarity move onto the third step.

After taking my free career test you will be given the opportunity to pay a small fee for a more detailed and comprehensive career test.

On average, it takes my clients about 40 hours to complete the eCourse.

Aptitude Test Vs Career Test Vs Career Quiz – What the heck is the difference?

My clients ask me this quite a bit.

The different terminology used in career testing can make it very confusing.

My simple answer is that all of the terms below basically mean the same thing.

Career Personality Test

All of these terms fall under the umbrella of career assessments.

Wikipedia provides a nice definition.

All five of these tests do the same thing.

A career test is typically delivered in a multiple question format.

All are designed around specific matching principles.

Meaning the multiple choice career aptitude test will measure your individual personality and then do a career match.

A few examples:

Match your values with careers

My personal advice is first take a free career aptitude test.

If the general format and results resonate with you then take a paid and more involved career test.

I like the saying “Superman is only in the movies”.

That saying can be applied to an aptitude test.

“A super aptitude test is only in the movies….”

I will tell you why.

For most people these are the 3 hardest decisions you will make in your lifetime.

1) Choosing or not choosing a life partner

2) Choosing or not choosing to have children

3) Choosing a career

You will spend about 90,000 hours working during your lifetime.

You will spend more time working than with your husband or wife.

A free career test or paid career test is multiple choice and takes less than 30 minutes to complete.

Is it realistic to spend 30 minutes taking a career aptitude test and expect to completely solve a 90,000 hour question?

For most, it is not realistic.
